Dr. Shannon Burns, DDS

Hello! I am Dr. Shannon Burns and I am very excited to be joining Hudson Valley Dental! I was born and raised in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and I attended college at Elmhurst University near Chicago. Here I studied Spanish and Biology and played volleyball. Following my undergraduate studies, I took a gap year to further explore the dental profession by working as a dental assistant before attending dental school at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After which I completed a one year fellowship in general dentistry in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where I worked amongst an experienced team of dentists and specialists to serve a population in need of care and further my skill-set. I continue to advance my knowledge in the field of oral healthcare by taking continuing education courses and through my memberships with the following organizations: American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

I understand that the dental office can be an intimidating place for some, which is why I pride myself on taking the time to get to know each of my patients to help them feel comfortable here at Hudson Valley Dental. I strive to provide excellent dental care in a kind and compassionate manner, and above all to foster an environment that makes dental visits a positive experience.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy going for walks, listening to podcasts, playing sports, and exploring Hudson and the Twin Cities. I look forward to meeting and working with the Hudson Community!
